Available from Amera-Seiki, the Cheetah machining center is capable of milling, drilling and tapping operations. With a 10,000-rpm, 7.5-hp spindle, the 30-taper machine features travels of 20.08" in the X axis, 15.8" in the Y axis and 17.7" in the Z axis. It is equipped with a Mitsubishi 64SM CNC control, 600 meters memory and a 64-bit RISC processor. Pre-wired for a fourth axis, the machine can reach feed rates as high as 1,890 ipm. Optional accessories include a fifth-axis tilting rotary table, a spindle oil cooler and a lift-up, belt-type chip conveyor with cart.
