According to the company, this technology provides consistent, reliable high-frequency arc ranging from 200- to 1-amp applications. The operator enters the chosen tungsten size, from 0.020" to 0.125", and Blue Lightning sets the optimal starting parameters.
In addition, the Dynasty 200 features advanced AC waveforms to optimize arc characteristics for various applications and operator preferences. Depending on the waveform selected—advanced squarewave, soft squarewave, sine wave or triangular wave—users can tailor the arc for such characteristics as a hard, driving arc; a smooth, soft arc with good puddle control and wetting action; or a punch of peak amperage with minimized overall heat input to reduce distortion.
Both models offer DC TIG, pulsed DC TIG, stick and air carbon arc gouging. In addition to offering AC waveforms, the Dynasty provides extended AC balance—from 30 to 99 percent—to control the amount of oxide cleaning and AC frequency control of 20 to 250 Hz to control the width of the arc cone and the arc force.
