View MoreChemax ASR-343 and Chemax ASR-132 are formulated to clean carbonaceous and traditional metalworking fluid residues from cold rolled steel, brass or copper. Their solvency and traditional detergency attributes enable them to penetrate the residue and lift it from surfaces, enabling them then to be successfully coated or plated.
The cleaners can be formulated as 5-percent additions in an alkaline builder package including buffered amines, inorganic phosphates and caustics. Dilutions of the concentrates provide surface tensions of < 40 d/cm when the concentrate is cut back to 5 percent in water. Chemax ASR-343 is slightly higher foaming than ASR-132 and has a lower surface tension. Both cleaners can be applied at temperatures from 100 to 140°F.
