RAM Optical Instrumentation, Inc. (ROI) has added the Sprint CNC 300, a full-featured video measurement system to its product lineup. With a XYZ travel of 12" x 12" x 6," the machine can accommodate a variety of part sizes, yet it can be situated on a benchtop.
The machine is equipped with a metrology granite base and column, motor-driven mechanical bearing stages, 0.5-micron linear scales, programmable motorized zoom optics and a high-resolution color video camera. Programmable surface and backlight illumination sources, including the optional LED VectorLight, are useful for promoting image quality.
Basic-X measurement software is said to expedite creating and running part programs for fully automatic, unattended measurement.
