To remove fine metallic filings, turnings or shavings (swarf), Master Magnetics offers Magnetic Retrieving Batons. The batons feature non-corrosive, stainless steel housings and can remove swarf from both wet and dry environments, especially those around drill tables and saws. Neodymium/rare earth magnets maximize holding power and the shape enables easy pickup near walls, corners and other hard-to-reach places, the company says.

Once metal debris are collected, a pull of the handle releases the shavings into a recycle bin or trash can. A movable debris guard shields hands from any sharp debris and keeps swarf from following magnets up the tube when releasing collected debris.

Three models are available: RHS01 is 16" long by 1.0" in diameter; RHS02 is 16" long by 1.0" in diameter, and features an easy-grip handle and hang hook; and the RHS03 is 39" long by 1/2" in diameter, and it features and easy-grip handle and hang hook.
