Available from Beckhoff Automation, the CP62xx Panel PC is intended to give machine builders an “all-in-one” control solution. It features integrated displays and is offered with processors as powerful as a Pentium M 1.8 GHz. With a depth of 2.4", the PC’s IP 65-rated display can help reduce machine size and cost, the company says. In addition, it is suitable for use as HMI and SCADA devices for control systems.
The unit features 12", 15" or 19" touchscreen or touchpad TFT display for use as a monitor without a keyboard or with different membrane keypad options, including full alphanumeric keyboards. In addition, the front of the PC can be customized to include company logos and color schemes. Because of its two independent Ethernet interfaces, the PC is useful as a compact CPU for an EtherCAT-networked control system as well as other applications. The PC comes standard with Windows CE. Windows XP Embedded or Windows XP Professional can be installed as an option with a larger compact flash or hard disk.
