The PC-DMIS EMS (Enterprise Metrology Solutions) suite of software products includes 4.3 3D CMM software; Vision 4.3; NC 4.3; and the Stand-Alone Inspection Planner. According to the company, the 4.3 3D CMM software was developed in response to comments and suggestions from customers. Vision 4.3 offers improved measuring speed; added support for a range of probes and vision measurement hardware; expanded scanning support; and other features that make vision measurement devices more intuitive. The NC 4.3 offers Server and Interactive versions, which are said to allow for the efficient programming and execution of CNC machine spindle probe moves for part setup and measurement. The Stand-Alone Inspection Planner uses design intent information with the CAD model, thereby reducing CMM part programming time, the company says. In this version, design intent is assigned within the PC-DMIS programming environment rather than within the CAD system.
