The company has developed an indexable insert series especially suitable for short hole drilling. Launched under the designation WOMX-D57, WOEX-E57 and WOMX-B57, the inserts have been designed for drilling depths of four times diameter. They are recommended for steel, cast iron, stainless steel and cast steel as well as materials that are difficult to machine, according to the company. The inserts are also available in Tiger-tec grade WAK25. This new offering includes one ground and two precision sintered versions of the insert.
The company says the inserts can also be used for boring and special tools.
