Tiger-tec for Steel is a line of indexable inserts for steel turning. Featuring a new carbide substrate and a special multi-layer coating, the inserts offer the same benefits for steel turning that other Tiger-tec inserts provide for cast iron, the company says. Benefits include increased tool life and productivity, and improved process security.
The Tiger-tec for Steel line is available in three different cutting materials (Walter grades WPP10, WPP20, WPP30), and eight different ISO insert shapes. It is recommended for roughing and finishing steels ranging from unalloyed structural steels to high-alloyed tool steels.
