Komet’s KUB Pentron indexable drill handles drilling applications ranging to 5×D. The tool is capable of drilling on acute corners, edges, welded seams; through stacked plates; and on uneven surfaces without surface preparation or a pilot hole. The drill is offered in sizes ranging from 0.562" to 1.750" with an ABS connection or an inch-sized cylindrical shank, and in metric sizes from 14 to 46 mm with an ABS connection or a metric cylindrical shank. According to the company, the drill extends tool life and promotes stability with four-effective indexable inserts. It is designed for drilling materials including steels, stainless steels, cast materials and nonferrous metals.
