Leaders-In background

The Economy high speed steel box furnace, manufactured by Lucifer Furnaces, is an energy-efficient unit designed for heat treating high speed steels and glass ceramics. The furnace is constructed with lightweight ceramic fiber and mineral wool block insulation within a structurally reinforced sheet metal shell to minimize heat loss. The unit also features a silicon carbide hearth plate to provide a solid base to support heavy workloads. The furnace operates at temperatures ranging to 2,450°F with easy-to-replace, roof-mounted silicon carbide heating elements for fast heat up, the company says.

An SCR power supply automatically balances voltage to optimize performance. The box furnace is prewired, tested and shipped ready for connection to a 230-volt, single-phase power supply. Options include a programmable controller, timer and over-temperature safety system. Five standard model sizes are available with chambers ranging from 6" × 6" × 12" to 9" × 9" × 24".
