With jaw widths of 2", 6" and 8", Heinrich Company's line of three self-centering vises can handle stock sizes from 1/4" to 9". Operators can adjust the maximum jaw opening with stops. Also, the company offers a set of hardened and ground horizontal v-jaws with each size.
The vises use double-acting piston type air cylinders that produce from 15 to 33 times power factor (120 psi is the recommended maximum air pressure). The gear and rack assembly in the bottom of each unit moves the jaws together within an accuracy of +/- 0.0001". Operators can mount the units in a vertical or horizontal position.
