The company’s new line of electronic variable speed (EVS) milling machines are equipped with a head mounted control including an LCD spindle speed display that allows the operator to select spindle speeds quickly, the company says.
Requiring less maintenance than mechanical variable speed machines, these mills offer features such as a fail-safe spindle brake, enclosed electrics with an inverter variable speed drive, an up to 4-hp spindle motor (5 hp optional) and hardened and ground chrome plated quill. A hardened and ground table with three ground T -slots, an up to 11 "x 58" table, double nuts for easy backlash adjustment, up to 38.2" X- axes travel, 16" Y axes travel, i7.7" knee travel and 5" quill travel are other features offered, according to the company. All ways are hardened and ground with Turcite B coating on X- and Y-axis ways for wear resistance and smooth operation, the company says.
