 The advanced remote technology (A.R.T.) hand-held controller from Techno, Inc., is designed for use with all of the company’s CNC routers. Used in conjunction with any virtually PC, the controller allows the operator the freedom to move around the machine during setup and operation while providing complete control of all machine functions, the company says.

The controller is fully equipped with easy-to-understand button definition and explanation functions that allow complete access to all of the machine’s controls without the need to decode complex symbols or reference an operating manual. Machine operators using the controller will be able to view multiple screens that separate various controls by function groups. Related jog functions such as X-, Y-, Z- and A-axis jogging/zeroing, jog speed, continuous and incremental step and tool calibration pad touch off can be controlled with the touch of a finger, the company says.

The controller features IP 54 dust protection, a three meter chord, multiple configuration languages, an easy-access USB port for memory sticks, a mounting stand for stationary use and a direct system control for uninterrupted cutting performance.
