The Cri-Bore modular boring system is now available with the 80-degree diamond insert pocket and a triangular insert pocket. These boring heads are designed with Criterion’s Dual Insert Pocket to accept either a 7-degree or 11-degree side clearance insert. The company says this feature increases the insert interchangeability without increasing the number of boring heads required to cover the boring range.
The system covers a boring range of 1.585"to 7.380"in diameter. The boring heads are available with diameters of 0.0001" or 0.001″ and are designed with direct reading dials so the user does not have to calculate the diameter change or interpret a vernier scale when making a size adjustment.
