GF AgieCharmilles has announced that it has made a donation to Carbonfund.org on
behalf of all IMTS attendees who picked up a Carbonfund.org wristband from the
company's booth. Throughout this year's show, GF AgieCharmilles made a concerted
effort to demonstrate to attendees that eco-friendly manufacturing could go
hand-in-hand with cost reduction and improved efficiency.
"We are proud
of the number of attendees who demonstrated interest in reducing the
environmental footprint of their actions," says Glynn Fletcher, president of GF
AgieCharmilles US. "Going forward, our company will continue to highlight ways
to adopt new technology in a way that benefits not just the bottom line, but the
environment as well."
Carbonfund.org pursues the minimization of
companies' effects on the environment through climate change education, carbon
offsets and reductions and public outreach activities.
