Marposs offers an additional version of its Merlin-embedded gage computer with Microsoft Windows XP operating system.
Marposs offers an additional version of its Merlin-embedded gage computer with Microsoft Windows XP operating system. The Merlin Plus gage computer is designed for simple measuring applications with as many as 16 sensors/measurements and basic statistical analysis. The computers use the same technology that PDA and other portable electronics use to collect data from traditional or wireless measuring devices.
Embedded technology enables small dimensions (the whole system footprint is smaller than a sheet of standard paper), fanless architecture and no moving parts (flash disk storage media), ensuring system reliability, the company says.
Users can easily program and acquire measurements via a touchscreen-designed human interface without an additional input/command device.
The gage computer adds to the basic system’s enhanced data storage capabilities for the most demanding network environments, plus a “print screen” option to provide hard copy results when necessary.
