Millstar’s four-flute, solid carbide high-feed end mill is suited for high speed, high-performance medical machining applications such as shoulder joint components. The company says its advanced-technology profile and contour milling cutters provide the stringent geometric form accuracy and finish tolerances required for machining the harder, more abrasive materials used in the medical industry.
The inch and metric series are stocked in cutting diameters from 0.125" to 0.500" and 2 mm to 12 mm. Tools are coated with the company’s XRN tool coating for high speed milling of Titanium and stainless steels.
There are usually better solutions to chatter than just reducing the feed rate. Through vibration analysis, the chatter problem can be solved, enabling much higher metal removal rates, better quality and longer tool life.
