Four- and Five-Axis Simultaneous Milling Capability

Share

Leaders-In background
The latest version of Surfware’s CAD/CAM system, the Surfcam Velocity series features enhanced four- and five-axis simultaneous milling capabilities. The company says the upgraded logic in version 3 of the software is useful for manufacturers of parts that require the removal of bulk material followed by precision, multi-axis finishing. Such parts include aerospace structures; power generation blades and blisks; automotive cylinder-head proting; and more. In addition, the new functionality maintains associative links to features of the native SolidWorks file (or Parasolids model).
