Hi-PosDeka, a new family of face mills from Ingersoll Cutting Tools, features 10 cutting edges per insert. The cutters are available in two insert densities, with four carbide grades. The 20-degree lead angle (with chip forming technology on the insert) allows chip loads to 0.015" in steel.
These general-purpose inserts include a 0.055" wiper flat for producing favorable, one-cut finishes to 63 rms. Custom wiper inserts are also available to achieve finishes of 20 rms.
