Mitutoyo America has added two new Quick Image-series 2D optical measuring systems with advanced one-click measuring functionality, featuring 0.2× or 0.5× magnification.
The optical measuring machines’ Telecentric lens design offers a wide field of view and depth of focus, easing measurement of workpieces with multiple step heights. High-luminance with built-in LED lighting and a 3-megapixel color camera enable observation and measurement using high-resolution images.
The one-click measurement function enables measurement and tolerance judgment with a single mouse click for automatic detection of workpiece position and inclination, and batch measurement of multiple parts with the same shape (to a maximum of 1,000 workpieces at one setting). Measurement results are displayed in real time directly on the video image, which enables at-a-glance viewing of tolerance limits.
Other features include an “easy mode” for entry-level users, the ability to switch between large-focal-depth mode (normal) and high-resolution mode, user-defined overlay templates, and a large lineup of X- and Y-stage sizes.
