The solid-carbide APG end mill series from Monster Tool is said to bridge the gap between general-purpose and high-performance tooling. The series, intended as an economical alternative, offers a variable index andan offset index, and tools are available with or without a nACRo (aluminum-chromium-silicon nanocomposite) coating. The end mills are designed to perform well in a variety of materials, particularly cast iron and stainless steels.
