The Elect XL150 all-electric tube bender from BLM Group USA reduces power consumption and offers accuracy in bending tubes ranging to 6" in diameter. According to the company, the unit can handle difficult applications with little or no straight between bends or where tight radius bends are required. It is designed for use in the automotive, agricultural, construction and shipbuilding industries, among others.

The tube bender offers precise control and positioning of its electric axes, ensuring that optimum working parameters can be reproduced without reliance on operator expertise. The unit enables multi-stack tooling of as many as eight stacks, enabling several bend tools to be pre-mounted to minimize tool change-over. The direct gearbox drive is incorporated within the compact head assembly for greater clearance around the bend head area. The machine also combines conventional and variable radius bends in the same automatic bend cycle.

The CNC automatically manages critical settings for the machine and tooling, such as clamping and centerline radius, ensuring correct positional and torque settings. Remote access enables offline management and troubleshooting. The machine is equipped with VGP3D 3D graphical programming software, which simulates the bending operation and automatically corrects for possible collision points. According to the company, the software optimizes productivity and minimizes operator involvement. It also enables offline programming for automation and production planning purposes.
