Compatible with virtually any manual machine tool, such as milling, turning, boring and drilling machines, the ND 780 from Heidenhain Corporation includes a library of onboard user cycles. The DRO’s menu-driven text, ergonomic housing and 6" LCD screen are designed for ease of use. Tables for tools, threads and cutting speeds are included, as are cycles to expedite machining tasks and a calculator for arithmetic, trigonometric and taper calculations.
Features such as selectable resolution, error compensation (linear and non-linear) and troubleshooting tools (signal diagnostics) are intended to promote fast, accurate production of parts on an array of manual machines. The product is compatible with all single or multi-axis machine tools having as many as three axes.
