View MoreThe Model 2SF-48RA is an automated, double-spindle finishing machine for precision deburring of metal parts as fast as 480 pieces per hour. According to the company, the robot-adaptable machine handles complex pieces with diameters as large as 16". The 48"-diameter tub, filled with finishing abrasive, receives parts from two spindles on opposite sides of the tub, which automatically raises the parts from the abrasive at cycle completion. Centrifugal force spins the abrasive into a form-fitting grinding wheel, while a constant spray of liquid compound and water provides continuous cleaning of parts. This process ensures uniform deburring and finishing of all part surfaces to user specifications. The machine is suited for the deburring of complex parts such as gears, bearing cages, splined shafts, pump rotors and jet engine compressor discs and blades. It requires minimal floor space, measuring approximately 5 × 8 ft. The unit’s programmer interacts with integrated robots to yield seamless automation of feed, load and unload operations as well as cycle time sequencing. Also available from the company is the compact S2-30, a manually operated spindle finisher; Spraymaster front-load cabinet washers; and other finishing units and parts washers/dryers.
