Mayfran International says its Hydrostatic Paper Filter, the HPF-300, combines chip removal and coolant filtration technology to improve the productivity of high-performance metal-cutting and finishing machines. This deep-bed type filter uses side-sealing method to prevent chip and particulate bypass, and its fully automatic design provides a clean, continuous supply of coolant to avoid machine downtime.
Acccording to the company, the HPF line’s performance minimizes operational costs by improving machine uptime, part quality and tool life. HPF filters can process between 100 and 1,000 liters per minute of water-based emulsions or neat oils that contain both metallic and non-metallic particles.
Additionally, a versatile selection of filter paper media provides a variety of possible filtration levels. This enables users to select the right filtration for a given machine when changing to a new part, process or material, the company says. It adds that the filters’ compact design conserves floor space, while standard modular options enable configuration to meet virtually any machining requirements.
