Available through Tyson Tool, Becker Diamantwerkzeuge provides standard and special PCD-compound precision cutting tools tipped with CVD diamond material. According to the company, tools tipped with CVD diamond offer longer life and are less costly compared with those tipped with monocrystalline diamond. Laser cutting is used for the clearance angles, cutting edge radii and profiles, and cutting edges produced with laser technology are said to be sharper than those produced through grinding. The laser technology is also used for cutting the PCD compound tools as well as solid PCD diamond tools.
