Able to perform “pick-and-place” applications of workpieces on levels with various heights, Schunk Inc.’s Age-S compliance unit provides compensation beyond the positioning accuracy of the robot. Built for medium- and heavy-load applications, the unit performs such applications in combination with the compensation of horizontal tolerances. The combination of three compensation directions (X, Y and Z) in one unit is said to minimize the size and weight of the unit compared with conventional solutions.
