Leaders-In background

The company announced that its SprutCAM software supports SolidWorks 2005 3D mechanical design software. The software allows users to add information directly to the SolidWorks button. When the add-in is selected, the current SolidWorks part is opened directly in the software. The user can then immediately update existing tool paths for the part or easily select an entire set of operations from a similar part to apply to the CAD model.

The software allows users to directly open a model in SprutCAM while in a SolidWorks session. The user can continue to design the model, and then update and apply existing tool paths without switching from one application to another.

The company says this associativity provides better machining efficiency, easier CAM organization and superior toolpath quality.
