CGTech offers version 7 of its Vericut machine simulation, verification and optimization software, which is designed to eliminate manual prove-out of NC programs. The software features performance-improving enhancements that reduce the time required for manufacturing engineers to develop, analyze, inspect and document the CNC programming and machining process. According to the company, the software focuses on diligent code optimization and includes more than 500 customer-driven enhancements.

Enhancements include a modified user interface designed to create a more natural sequence to common user actions, the company says. Users interact with a graphical tree featuring a top-down flow and context-sensitive choices that appear as the user moves along in the NC program simulation.

According to the company, the software reduces scrap loss and rework. The program also optimizes NC programs to save time and produce a higher-quality surface finish. The software simulates virtually all types of CNC machine tools, the company says, including those from Mori Seiki, Mazak, Makino, Matsuura, Hermle, DMG, DIXI and Chiron. It can be run stand-alone or integrated with CAM systems such as Catia V5, NX, Pro/E, MasterCAM, EdgeCAM and GibbsCAM.
