Leistritz offers its CNC keyseaters, designed for control and flexibility in producing straight, accurate keyways. According to the company, the CNC keyseaters are well-suited for cutting small keys, but are also capable of cutting keyways as large as 7" wide. The CNC can optimize cutting parameters through flexible feedrate and cutting speed programming. Variable depths can also be programmed, if required. The keyseater can be combined with a rotary table to produce multiple grooves within a single application or helical grooves for special applications.

The company also offers keyseaters with linear motors for cutting keyways in already-hardened workpieces. The linear motor systems can cut grooves in steels and provide strokes ranging to 60".
