Northern Engineering and Manufacturing (NEMI) has released a vacuum chuck compatible with both horizontal and vertical machining centers for shops that use a variety of workholding. This fixture can be used either with the Kurt four-face cage or on a machine bed and is completely compatible with all of NEMI’s standard vacuum fixturing. According to the company, the vacuum chuck enables machinists to quickly and easily change out vacuum fixture plates, sub-plates and vises as well as to alternate between vacuum and non-vacuum applications. The vacuum chuck comes with Kurt PinLocks for fast, easy and precise locating.
