Big Kaiser Precision Tooling offers chamfer rings for the 112 series small-diameter boring tools for sequence chamfers on bore diameters of 0.496" (12.6 mm) to 1.248" (31.7 mm). Existing tools can now be retrofitted to perform an additional fixed 45-degree chamfer in the same boring operations. The chamfer ring slides over the boring bar and is locked into place with a single screw. The rings are designed for boring bars with diameters of 12 mm and 0.625". To improve tool balance, the rings are made from aluminum. Standard VC inserts are available for steel, cast iron and aluminum operations.
