Leaders-In background
Sandvik Coromant says its CC6060 and CC6065 ceramic-grade round inserts, which are part of the company's family of HRSA cutting tools, are a fast alternative to conventional carbide inserts. The CC6060 is designed to provide productivity benefits with large-diameter components and long lengths of cut. According to the company, the insert’s resistance to notch wear enables deep cuts. In addition, the company says it can maintain performance at high feed rates and in long, continuous cuts. The CC6065 is designed for high-temperature alloy machining on high-quality forgings with some ovality. According to the company, the insert and edge line are strong enough to allow increased feed rates.
