The Radstar spot drill from DatumPoint Tool, Inc. requires only one insert with two cutting edges. Five different inserts are currently available, including 90-, 118-, 120-, 135- and 140-degree drill points, all of which fit the same holder. The 1" wide insert fits into a 1" diameter holder. A 30-degree chamfer insert for milling, which fits the same holder, is also available.
Also available from the company is the Radstar cutting tool line, which is comprised of inserted tools for corner rounding, countersinking and 45-degree chamfering. Backdraft cutters for use in the mold and die industry are offered as well.
