CAM Software Boosts Performance in Closed Cavities
Eastec 2017: Esprit 2017 from DP Technology features simpler user interaction, smarter toolpath technology and faster programming.
Esprit 2017 from DP Technology features simpler user interaction, smarter toolpath technology and faster programming. The CAM software’s ProfitMilling feature is said to upgrade the performance of both the machine and the tool path in closed cavities. The benefits of these enhancements include a larger initial spiral, which opens closed cavities faster to improve evacuation and coolant access. ProfitMilling also optimizes the initial channel width for faster attainment of programmed feed rates and fewer machine decelerations. Fewer interruptions on initial opening passes translates to less tool repositioning.
