Dapra Corporation’s precision-ground ballnose inserts with PCD tips are diamond-tipped for milling soft, nonferrous materials such as aluminum and graphite. According to the company, the inserts increase wear resistance and have an expected life as much as 100 times longer than carbide-coated inserts. The PCD-tipped inserts are precision ground to provide a sharp, accurate cutting radius. Available with 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4" diameters, the inserts are designed for use with the company’s standard steel, carbide-core and carbide-shank cutter bodies.
