Weldon Solutions’ July 21st Open House: Automate – Innovate – Educate attracted more than 200 guests from across the mid-Atlantic region. The event featured interactive robotic demonstrations, educational seminars and a tour of the grinding machine builder’s engineering and manufacturing center in York, Pennsylvania.
Celebrating their 10-year partnership, the company and FANUC Robotics provided live demonstrations of robots performing tasks such as high speed picking, machine tool loading and unloading, automated CNC grinding and material removal. Technology employed in these demonstrations included machine vision, line tracking and force sensing.
Educators and students joined manufacturing professionals at educational seminars that provided training on a range of topics related to robotics and manufacturing innovation. More than 80 certificates were issued to attendees seeking Professional Development Hour (PDH) continuing education credits.
