View MoreSMW Autoblok, designer and manufacturer of rotational chucks, stationary workholding, tooling and custom engineered solutions for the machine tool industry, has opened a design and manufacturing production unit in Petacciato, Italy.
The SMW-Autoblok Petacciato team has automation experience the enables them to design and manufacture custom, complex and structured workholding solutions characterized by tailoring accuracy, according to the company. The team has expertise in both static and rotating clamping.
“Since the creation of the new unit, the company has experienced continuous growth by overcoming the initial greatest challenge of making the customer understand that they used to associate the Autoblok name with standard products for rotating clamping on lathes, yet we also deal with static clamping solutions and special solutions that are tailor-made based on the specific needs of the customer,” said Gabriele Massimi, special applications manager of Autoblok Petacciato,
According to the company, the Petacciato unit specializes in:
- Offering multi-tasking experience in the field of mechanics, from part gripping, to machining, assembly, servo and automation.
- Bringing its experience of static clamping to rotary and vice versa.
- Integrating all the standard products of the group.
