The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) has hired Michael Vohland as vice president of sales and publisher. He will lead PMA’s sales team to grow association membership and sponsorships. He also will oversee the production of PMA’s flagship publications MetalForming and 3D Metal Printing magazines, along with their related products.
Mr. Vohland comes to PMA from Gardner Business Media, where he held positions as publisher, associate publisher and district sales manager for over 20 years. Most recently, he oversaw Gardner’s publication Automotive Design & Production (AD&P) magazine and the AutoBeat Daily (ABD) website and e-newsletters.
“Michael Vohland brings years of experience and a track record of success in business-to-business publishing, developing partnerships, growing sales and maximizing value for industry publications in today’s digital environment,” says PMA President David Klotz.
“As someone who has spent his career working in the business-to-business publishing industry focused on the manufacturing sector, I believe in PMA’s mission and admire the active role that its members take in the association. I look forward to growing the association’s membership, helping PMA navigate today’s landscape for business-to-business publications, and maximizing opportunities for our customers and prospects to consume the valuable content that PMA is publishing,” says Mr. Vohland.
