Missler Software (Evry, France), author of the TopSolid family of CAD/CAM/ERP software, has partnered with product data content provider Machining Cloud GmbH (Stans, Switzerland) to provide TopSolid users with direct access to product data and information including 3D models, cutting conditions and tool parameters. According to a Missler Software representative, many cutting tool manufacturers are making digital data available through the Machining Cloud portal already. The agreement will provide TopSolid users with fast access to this information during part programing and machining simulation via the TopSolid Cloud Connection interface, saving time and enabling users to make better choices about which cutting tools to use and how to run them.

The Machining Cloud apps run on Microsoft Windows 7 and 8 desktop and tablet computers, as well as Android tablets and iPads. Available information includes descriptive, usage and geometric product data from cutting tool manufacturers.
