More than 400 manufacturing executives attended The MFG Meeting March 2-5 in Palm Desert, California, where conference sessions focused on emerging developments in U.S. manufacturing and economic forecasts. The event was organized by AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology and the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA).
Speakers at the conferences included executives talking about advanced manufacturing technology, human innovation science, economic intelligence, cyber security and business strategy.
Commenting on some of the framework of the conference’s principal themes, AMT Chairman Jerry Rex says, “At the end of 2015, Congress made a change in the tax law that is a boost to manufacturers, yet we continue to face difficult challenges from the skilled worker shortage to slower growth rates expected until the fourth quarter. During the meeting we explored solutions, shared experiences of effective practices and made plans to advance the manufacturing technology industry.”
