Mazak to Host Technology, Student Events in Northeast U.S.
The Discover More With Mazak event May 3 and 4 will be followed by an event for students aimed at exposing them to advanced manufacturing technology.
Mazak will host its seventh annual Discover More With Mazak event at its Northeast Technology Center in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, May 3-4. This technology and education event will feature a large presentation of the company’s CNC machine tools as well as other means of enhancing productivity and versatility in such industries as aerospace, medical and firearms. A special day for students will be held May 5.
Attendees can register for the event at mazakusa.com.
In addition to Mazak application specialists providing metalworking demonstrations on milling, turning, five-axis and multitasking machines, several of the company’s Value Inspired Partners will also be on hand to discuss application of tooling, fixturing, CAD/CAM and other machine peripheral equipment.
Mazak will host several presentations on the latest metalworking tools, trends and techniques to help manufacturers improve productivity and profitability. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own projects and industry-specific parts to the event to discuss solution options with applications experts.
Local students will be invited to visit the center on Thursday, May 5, for exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies. The company says it intends to show students that manufacturing is a viable and growing industry with lucrative career opportunities.
Mazak’s Northeast event shares the same dates as SME’s Mfg4 event, which will be taking place in nearby Hartford.
