Mazak Expands Distribution Network With New Partnerships
Pioneer Machine Sales and longtime Mazak distributor A.W. Miller Technical Sales Inc. will expand the company’s territory.
Mazak has made strategic changes to its distribution network. Effective April 1, 2023, Pioneer Machine Sales will provide sales and service support for Mazak customers in Arkansas and Oklahoma, while longtime Mazak distributor A.W. Miller Technical Sales Inc. will expand its territory to serve customers in Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and the Southern half of New Jersey.
With the new and expanded partnerships, Mazak says it reinforces its strategic model of direct sales and distribution in North America. According to company President Dan Janka, “With Pioneer and A.W. Miller in our network of distributors, we further enhance our ability to provide meaningful support to customers in those regions and ensure they have local access to the technology and expertise necessary to maintain their competitive edge. Both distributors are committed to meeting customer objectives and demonstrate the level of leadership Mazak maintains itself and expects from its partners as well.”
With locations in Western Pennsylvania, New York and Quebec, A.W. Miller has provided customers with machine tool technology for nearly 50 years. With a complete staff of applications engineers, service and support personnel, the company has a long history as an exclusive Mazak distributor in Pennsylvania and New York. The company’s territory expansion will increase Mazak customer access to solutions and support in a broad range of industries to improve innovation and efficiency.
In addition to new service technicians, several former Mazak personnel will also join A.W. Miller. Former Northeast Territory Direct Sales Manager Bill Talley will join A.W. Miller to provide continuity in the transition. Jeremy Trout will assume the role of district sales manager, and Nate Howell will become sales manager.
Additionally, Mazak is adding Pioneer Machine Sales as its newest distribution partner. Pioneer will work closely with Mazak customers to deliver reliable, high-performance manufacturing solutions.
“We are excited to be part of the Mazak team,” says Chancy Cockrum, president and owner of Pioneer Machine Sales. “We look forward to offering their advanced technology that will help our customers improve machining operations while also reducing manufacturing costs. Together with industry-leading Mazak technology, Pioneer also brings to the table upwards of 75 years of manufacturing applications experience to further support customers.”
In addition to local distributor support through Pioneer, customers also have access to Mazak’s network of facilities across North America, including its Southwest Technology Center and the Dallas Technical Center, both of which provide customers in the Arkansas and Oklahoma markets with component machining demonstrations, experienced applications engineers and comprehensive training.
