Leading Companies Launch Manufacturing Cleaning Association
Gardner Business Media and other leaders in manufacturing have established the Manufacturing Cleaning Association to establish standards and spread knowledge.
Gardner Business Media (GBM – Cincinnati, Ohio) has launched the Manufacturing Cleaning Association (MCA) with several other industry leaders to meet the need for parts and component cleaning knowledge across the manufacturing industry.
“Over the past five years, it has become clear that a community of cleaning industry professionals that can learn from each other as well as establish and hold strict industrial standards is in demand,” says Matt Gilmore, marketing and operations manager at Gardner Business Media Inc. and MCA executive director.
Initial planning for the MCA began at the 2019 Precision Machining Technology Show (PMTS), where a prospective MCA member working group structured the organization. They established the MCA in September 2019 and began signing founding members that December.
Gilmore has led the board of directors and executive board since August 2020, and will continue to serve as executive director.
Joining Gilmore are president Sherry Stepp of KYZEN Corp. (Nashville, Tenn.), 1st vice president Jeff Beard of BHC Inc. (Indianapolis, Ind.), 2nd vice president Peter Feamster of Jomesa North America (Troy, Mich.), treasurer Michael Valenti of Hubbard Hall Inc. (Waterbury, Conn.), secretary Lori Beckman of Gardner Business Media, board member Jay Nawani of JAYCO Cleaning Technologies (West Chester, Ohio), board member Markus Roessler of Gläser Inc. (Twinsburg, Ohio) and board member Darren Williams of Sam Houston State University (Huntsville, Texas).
“I am excited to work with such a diverse and insightful group as we all build this breakthrough organization,” says Sherry Stepp. “The MCA’s mission is to support our industry’s needs, create community and provide answers to ‘how clean is clean’ for my process, no matter what that process is.”
An MCA website is currently under development. For the latest news on the MCA, visit its LinkedIn page: linkedin.com/company/manufacturing-cleaning-association/. For information about membership, email Matt Gilmore at mgilmore@gardnerweb.com.
