MetalForming Magazine, the Women in Manufacturing Association (WiM) and the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) have announced their 2020 Women of Excellence honorees, recognizing 68 outstanding women in the metal forming and fabricating industries. This fifth-annual list is published in the December issue of MetalForming magazine and in a special expanded online section that includes biographical information.

“As a provider of information highlighting metal forming technology and productivity, MetalForming proudly recognizes achievement through our Women of Excellence awards program,” says Brad Kuvin, editorial director at MetalForming Magazine. “The 2020 class, like those of the previous four years, represents the best of the best, and provides excellent examples and inspiration for those who may follow in their footsteps.”

MetalForming’s 2020 Women of Excellence class, the largest yet, includes 38 Winners and 30 Honorable Mention recipients, whose careers span the field from the shop floor to the boardroom. Each honoree has demonstrated on-the-job excellence and a commitment to manufacturing.

The Women of Excellence in Metal Forming and Fabricating program exists to recognize the vital role that women play in industry, and to inspire the next generation to reap the rewards of a manufacturing career. MetalForming’s editorial staff, PMA and WiM recognized these women for their longevity and accomplishments in the industry, as well as their commitment to others in their careers and communities.

Increasing manufacturing opportunities for women and recognizing their skills are important functions of both PMA, MetalForming’s parent organization, and WiM, an organization that grew out of PMA’s commitment to these efforts.

MetalForming’s Women of Excellence winners are examples of talent and perseverance,” says Allison Grealis, WiM president and founder. “I can’t help but be inspired by their stories and accomplishments. I hope that these women encourage other young women, and men, to pursue careers in this industry.”
