Haas Automation (Oxnard, California) has partnered with Scuderia Ferrari Formula One team as an official supplier. Beginning with the 65th British Grand Prix in July, the company's branding will appear on the lower sidepods of the Ferrari F14 T driven by Fernando Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen for the remainder of 2014 and throughout the 2015 season.
Haas founder Gene Haas explained that the exposure his company's brand will receive in the motor racing events as part of the team will contribute to its efforts at expanding global reach. Marco Mattiacci, team principal at Scuderia Ferrari, said that having Haas as one of its suppliers will strengthen its existing ties to the U.S. "Over the past few months, we have been exploring with Haas a number of potential areas of collaboration, and this agreement is an immediate opportunity that we are pursuing," he added. Mr. Mattiacci commented that technical discussions are ongoing regarding Haas' plans to enter Formula One with its own team in 2016.
