Gleason Acquires Distech Systems

Gleason (Rochester, New York) has acquired Distech Systems Inc. (Rochester, New York), a manufacturer of factory automation systems with whom Gleason has collaborated on projects over the past several years. According to Daniel J. Schwab, president of Distech Systems, the company has experienced significant growth recently, and Gleason’s market reach combined with technical and operational competencies will help to sustain that growth. The existing Distech management team and staff will remain intact following the acquisition.
