GE Aviation is currently seeking solutions that can increase the speed and accuracy of inspecting high-precision aircraft engine parts. On behalf of the company, NineSigma is inviting proposals on technologies, processes or approaches for faster inspection of these parts. Participants will be competing for three cash prizes of $15,000 each. Winning respondents who enter into a joint development agreement with GE will be awarded a $35,000 development grant to collaborate with the company and develop the proposed solutions.

Submissions must be received by February 3, and winners will be announced in May. Successful inspection technologies will be evaluated based on the speed of inspection, accuracy, repeatability and flexibility, among other factors.
