View MoreGE (Fairfield, Connecticut) is building a new manufacturing facility near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The facility, to be located in Findlay Township, represents a $32 million investment over three years and will create 50 engineering jobs, GE says. Its focus will be on improving capabilities and usage of additive manufacturing across GE’s industrial businesses while advancing materials sciences and inspection technologies. The center will also develop training programs for GE technologists in additive manufacturing. Construction is expected to begin in March and be completed by September.
The new center joins other GE advanced manufacturing locations including GE Power & Water in Greenville, South Carolina; GE Aviation in Asheville, North Carolina; GE Oil & Gas in Jacksonville, Florida; GE Aviation in Auburn, Alabama; and GE Aviation in Rutland, Vermont.
